Kasai

11 February 2020

No, no, no. Kass-aj!
Was at the premiere of the new concept Kyoto, a "cabaret club" that marcus schuterman is behind. I don't have words for how bad and it was all. There were some flowers hanging from the ceiling, and that's it. And if someone had shown me a little fleetingly how a DJ equipment works, I could easily have spun the music at least as well as the DJ who played this evening. Disaster... and yes, it was not my style of music that was played but you can still do a show if you are technically good at what you do.

Actually, I do not review events like this directly when there are new openings and something completely new for there is partly a lot of nervousness and small details that are not in place, that usually comes on only after. But since I've been to the nightclub that was here before, you expect a boost - and cabaret club? I don't know what the owners' credentials are but I would have been incredibly disappointed if I went to a real cabaret club and it was like this. Not that I was here very often before the reopening, but I very much doubt that I will go back here. If that were to happen, I am incredibly eager to put my teeth into their food that looks deeeeeelicious!

Asian Market Hötorget

11 February 2020

My obsession with succeeding in concocting a good ramen broth has culminated somewhat copiously after I found Asian Market. I do not understand why I have not previously visited actual Asian grocery stores(?). My brain has never been programmed for it as Asian overall has been almost alien to us farmers at Schlätta. Pot eating and game are like my old staple food... But now, happily knowing regulars. And my broths have improved somewhat extremely since then!

Imagine several metre-high shelves stuffed with sauces, oils, algae (all base and classic for oriental cuisine), fermented fish/other strange, pickled vegetables and fruits, spices and broths, frozen shrimp balls/other seafood, sweets, snacks porcelain and not to mention the range of noodles and vegetables that are cheap and wide. And everything in between, has knowledge of maybe 5% of everything on the shelves but what I've come up with so far is that Samyang is now my new love in life. Instant noodles to a new level. Do I know anyone out there who's geeked out in this? Could absolutely pay dearly for a thorough review of what you should have at home in the pantry and grains of gold that can kind of take the food to new heights. Call me!

I think I'm going to have a hard time going forward having to buy this at a regular grocery store... Good I've stocked up!

Nosh and Chow

11 February 2020

This text has been translated automatically.

"푸른 바다 보다 더 푸른 바다 같은" or "pureun bada boda deo pureun bada gateun"... never before have I appreciated neo-trance or South Korean as much as on Nosh. For those of you who got curious, turn on Starry Night by Peggy Gou and enjoy as much as I do. That song is played here on repeat, nothing against me. Thought it was great fun in retrospect to actually bring out the lyrics, because I've stood there a couple of times and really tried to figure out what the hell she's saying, in English then of course. Actually feel like my dignity came back to me now, haha.

Initially, I have a bit of a split opinion where the place is. I raw digs the actual part where you stand outside at the DJ upstairs but drag myself to go to all the other surfaces and small rooms. The great thing is that you can actually choose in the end where you want to stand - and think you know by now where I usually am. The music is a leafing of tech, Swedish houseified schlager and commercially but uncommercial for those who listen to type RixFM. Very najs and fits perfectly in context to an "open sky". I get the feeling that you end up abroad (provided it's warm) which puts a bit of flair on the overall experience.

Nosh and Chow are neat. With Lázaro Rosa-Violán behind the interior, you'll step into classic and timeless rooms with antique elements in sophisticated environments. Most of what you see is eye-catching and precisely positioned, as if the interior almost takes and plays a role with a certain identity... Think it's kind of cool. Besides that, it's generous with bars which are also incredibly stylish, with bartenders who are just as good at mixing drinks. Ask for something with elderberry in it, because this something has tasted thunderous every time.

Unfortunately, I haven't eaten here but I'm absolutely curious to give it a try, despite the fact that the reviews and rumor are two-pronged. If not, I'll be very happy to go here and have a cocktail because I feel really good when I'm in nice environments. I also think that I have been treated in a fair way, which is not too often used around the area.

As I understand it, there are also rooms you can subscribe to for larger parties if you want to arrange a party or dinner party. Something I can definitely see myself doing in the future, overall I think it's perfect for pre-party because it closes already at 02.00 when you start to get the urge to move on ... which HOWEVER drags the rating down a tad. But on the other hand, for the double-standards here, I might as well have stayed here for a whole evening. So, stay open longer Nosh!

Tambur

4 February 2020

This text has been translated automatically.

I love Tambur!
Think Sebastian, the person you usually get to meet inside the store, is exceptionally talented when it comes to sales and to awaken the needs of their customers (including myself). The shop is decorated as an apartment and almost everything you can see you can even buy. At the time of writing, I want to immediately come here and see what he's up to next. The store is like new from day to day.

And, of course, there's everything. Everything from kitchen décor, the world's most beautiful ceramics from Spruzzi, paintings, cutlery, lamps, pillows, books, soaps, candles and all other imaginable interior details. If you like Scandinavian style with a touch of Europe and South Africa - then this is where you should go. Humane prices, nice staff and nice music!

Neu

2 February 2020

No, but God, Neu!
My beloved schlager in all glory but techno is actually my calling in life. A little hidden love for most people and something that goes in the lurkors 24/7. And, let's talk real techno. Progressive, melodic, acid and tech just like on Neu.

In addition to music (which can absolutely vary depending on DJ but overall kalaaaaasbra) Neu delivers good j*vla sound, heavy sweltering bass that does not destroy the ears and a stylish comfortable laser show. Which creates a clean overall experience. I've been around in a couple of techno spots and like that it's actually a modern and fresh room as well. Sometimes, however, it may be good to stand in a worn industrial premises but at this particular place I like it to look the way it does. Then I can't escape the fact that it is adjacent to Nostalgica who runs schalger, but nothing I weigh into my assessment haha.

The fact that there is not so much bar table does me nothing because I am the one who stands at the front of the DJ and stomps the pace. There are a couple of benches along the walls if you need to take a liquid npuse. See you in the fog!

Eatnam Södermalm

Updated 11 February 2020 · Created 30 January 2020

Hooray, more Vietnamese to Stockholm and the world!

Eatnam is a favorite of mine and a place I continuously visit, dangerous when it's across the street. The food and menu are the same as in the other two places, that is, delicious, varied, fresh, affordable and tasty. If you don't go full from here... then I'll be impressed. The quality is standing good and I have never been served anything that tasted or looked strange.

What I particularly like about this venue is that it is bigger, better planned and airier than the others, which significantly affects the coziness factor. Can experience that it gets a little too loud sometimes, especially at Odenplan - but when you start eating, the focus is inward on what the senses say instead of outwardly on the surroundings. That says something about the experience here even though it's not a luxury/relaxing restaurant. Cozy sometimes with a little speed and pulse though, a little un-Swedish and cultural I think.

Also think it's nice when you can look into the kitchen like here and see how they work - got lots of tips earlier at Odenplan, including how to roll the spring rolls to make them stick together when they are fried. The staff here is also as cute as in the other places and super quick to remove plates, keep clean and fill up with sticks and sauces, which of course was set up. Incredibly service-minded, which they also show receipt for because they can expand.

The salmon is TO DIE FOR!

Tössebageriet

27 January 2020

This text has been translated automatically.

Tösse has long been on my bucket list and I will give a four for a reason. A classic pastry shop? I rather experienced it as a modern but with classic cookies and pastries. In my world, I think of hollowed-out, creaking chairs and an interior that is woody and dark. I feel lost and need a definition of what is meant by classical here I feel.

The room was gorgeous with marbled stone slabs, powder pink walls, golden spotlights and ceiling decorations (yes, modern and classic). Well, it was really nice and in terms of range, taste and service I want to give a fat fiver. Raises if I get a clear explanation of superior, haha.

Here were adorable girls who were happy to tell us about the pastry history and pastries that could have been baked by the very mother, Grandma. The salads, sandwiches and other food they serve also looked appetizing. A little expensive maybe for a student but think you can cost it sometimes. May think it was a little small too, waiting for spring and outdoor dining.

Me and my company shared a large semla of rank(!) and a type of cake that was both crispy, chewy and filled with almond pulp. Hooooly lord I'm just saying, I need them in my life. Fantastic good and perfect big so as not to get tired of the taste!

Brunos Korvbar Östermalm

26 January 2020

Jisses.

Liiiiiite torr sista tuggan kanske men fair enough.

You go girl!
